Saving Photoshop Documents
Photoshop provides facility to save a document in various file formats like BMP, JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, TGA, PSD etc. Here comes the judgment call! In which file format we need to save our document? Hence we need to understand when to save our document to a specific format and why we need to save in that specific format? Because there is no file format is best in every situation, each image format has its own advantages and limitations.
PSD: Photo Shop Document
It is the Photoshop’s native file format
It will remember / retain all layers, effects etc. that you have applied to your image.
