Working with Photoshop panels

Working with Photoshop panels / pallets / windows:
Closing a panel: Right click on panel name – Close command
Closing a tab group: Right click on panel name – Close tab group
Displaying a panel or window:
Window Menu – Select a window to display
Minimizing a panel: Right click on panel name – Minimize (or double click on panel name)
Expanding a panel: Right click on panel name – Expand panel (or click on panel name)
Collapse to icons: Right click on panel name – collapse to icons
(or click top right corner arrows of a pallet well)
Expanding panels: Right click on panel name – Expand panels
(or click top right corner arrows of a pallet well)
Ungroup a panel: Click and hold panel name and drag it out.
Group a panel: Click and hold panel and drag it in,
Once you find a highlighted blue rectangular area let go the mouse.
Docking to left, right, top or bottom:
Click and hold name of a panel / tab group and drag it,
Once you find a highlighted blue thick line let go the mouse.
Panel context menu: on clicking the button on the right corner of a panel provides access to context menu of currently active panel. Panel context menu button shows commands with respect to active panel.
Few Important Photoshop shortcuts to remember:
F5 – Brush
F6 – Color
F7 – Layers
F8 – Info
Alt + F9 – Actions
