Introduction to Photoshop User Interface:
Steps to open / launch the Photoshop application:
Start - All programs - Adobe Master Collection CS 6 - Adobe Photoshop CS 6 (64 bit)
When we launch the Photoshop application:
At the top of application window you can find menu bar,
just below the menu bar you can find option bar,
on the left hand side you can find tool bar/box,
on the right hand side you can find panels/ pallets /windows and
the middle free area of the application is known as document area.
Menu bar: Contains various menus like File, Edit, Image, Layer, Type, Select, Filter, 3D, View, Window, Help.
Tool box: Contains almost all tools required to create and edit images.
Option bar: Displays settings for currently selected tool or Displays options for currently active tool.
Panel’s area: Area for staking various panels or windows or pallets.
Document area: An area for displaying newly created document or any file to be edited.
We can customize the Photoshop layout / work space according to our convenient.
